To help you know the country you intend to visit, I have come up with the idea of a bi - monthly quiz. Use the picture and the clues to guess where you are and win a free Picture from any of the galleries.

The competition which was mothly at the start has been running since 2003 and there has been Fifty nine winners form around the world.

You don't have to come from Scotland to win. So that everyone can have a chance of winning a picture, the answer can be found by using the Internet. Study the clues and search. So far there have been winners from Australia, Holland, USA, England, Romania,Germany,Belgium,France,New Zealand, Switzerland, Spain, Ireland, Canada and now Israel plus a few from Scotland, so no matter where you are from you can win the picture of your choice.

Clues.

1-Gordon of Auchindoun set this Castle on fire killing the 28 women, children and servants who were inside.

2 - 1748 saw the Castle converted into Barracks by the English forces in their bid to finally subdue the Scots.

3 - In its later history it was occupied by excise men, trying to stamp out illicit whisky making.
