Castles of Scotland - Of all the Castles in Scotland, Stirling has to be my favourite. I cannot think of a better place to start this gallery of Pictures of Scotland than with this image. The full majesty of two of Scotland's most famous landmarks is captured for the first time, in this unique picture of Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument. William Wallace and Robert The Bruce, Bannockburn and Stirling, the very heart of Scotland. The last image in the gallery is another picture of this scene, but includes the whole of the Castle.

The Ochill Hills provide a dramatic backdrop for these much photographed Scottish icons, but never before, have all the elements been brought together, in such a fashion and produced such a remarkable image of the land of Bruce and Wallace.

I have been and continue to be, drawn back to this scene, never tiring of its awe inspiring grandeur. I have spent so many days and hours over the past years during all sorts of weathers, trying to capture what to me is,the very essence of Scotland and its history in one photograph.
