Pictures of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.-
I suppose we all chase rainbows at some time in our lives,
but we are never in the right place at the right time
to catch them. This photograph of a rainbow arching over
Loch Achray and the old Trossachs Hotel, appeared one
morning as I was having a coffee and reading the paper
at the side of the road. It straddled the the Loch and
was quickly gone, but looking at the skies I reckoned
it may just happen again so I set up and waited, it happened
again, not only once but twice. A lucky landscape photographer
returned to his paper content in the knowledge that I
had caught this particular rainbow.
Loch Achray lies in the heart of the Trossachs, north
of Aberfoyle. A wonderful area for the holiday maker,
take a trip to Loch Katrine and sail up the loch which
was the setting for Sir Walter Scot's' Lady Of The Lake',
sail on the ship which was named after him. There are
plenty of activities in the area to keep the family happy.
