Scotland Pictures showing the Loch Lomond and Trossachs
National Park, pictures of the Trossachs area of Scotland
Pictures of Scotland and her famous Loch Lomond and the
picturesque Loch Katrine. Autumn is a great time for taling
pictures of Scotland, the colours are rich and the air
clear, Scotland in Autmn is a delight for the photographer.
Little Ben An maybe small in comparison to the surrounding
hills but the view from the top is as nice as you will
get from any of its neighbours. Sitting on the top on
a clear day watching the Sir Walter Scott sail up Loch
Katrine is my idea of happiness. Head for the magically
named village of Brig 'O Turk and a clearly marked path
takes you to the top.
This area is a heaven for walkers of all ages and fitness,
with the nearby hills of Ben Ledi and Ben Vane providing
a sterner test than Ben An. Try a walk or even a drive
round the wonderful Loch Drunkie.
Water is a feature of the area with Loch Achray, Loch
Vennacher, Loch Lubnaig and of course Loch Katrine made
famous by Sir Walter Scott in his "Lady Of The Lake".
There is of course Loch Lomond which can be reached by
driving from Aberfoyle past the Lochs of Ard ,Chon and
Arklet to Inversnaid which sits on the Bonnie Banks.
The towns of Aberfoyle and Callander are both nearby,
with the the historical city of Stirling only a forty
minute drive away.
