Scotland. Ardnamurchan is the most westerly point on the
Scottish mainland. If you wish to experience peace and
tranquility, then take the Corran Ferry across Loch Linnhe
to Ardgour travel on through some glorious country to
Morven and Ardnamurchan and find a warm welcome throughout

Ardgour it's name in the Gaelic translates as "Height
Of The Goat" was part of the ancient trade route
to the Inner Hebrides,the original "Road To The Isles"
Strontian which sits on the shores of Loch Sunart, gave
its name to the element strontium which was found in the
lead mines of the area, it is the largest of the villages
in the region.
Lochaline in Morven is another point worth visiting,
it sits on the Sound of Mull, you can take a ferry from
here to the Isle of Mull. The ruins of the 14th Century
Ardtornish Castle are nearby on Loch Aline. For more details

right near the top of the map, is Fort William, the Corran
Ferry is at the narrowest part of Loch Linnhe about eight
miles south of Fort William and Ardgour is on the other
side.The A861 takes you out to Ardnamurchan whilst the
A884 takes you to Lochaline, you can see how close it
is to the Isle of Mull
